Babylon Navigation swoops for vintage Great Eastern suezmax

Babylon Navigation is one of many fast-growing vintage tanker players located in the United Arab Emirates. The owner has emerged as the taker of a ship sold by Great Eastern, tabling $33m for the 2005-built suezmax Jag Lalit. The vessel has now been named Liliana and is the largest ship in the Babylon Navigation fleet.

Babylon Navigation, located in  Preatoni Tower in Dubai, has been busy since the end of 2020, both buying and selling vintage tankers.  Currently, the fleet counts 10 tankers with an average age of 20 years. The lineup includes four MR tankers, four LR tankers, the newest suezmax, and a small clean tanker.
